Welcome to MaylandMarketplace.com, (the “Website”), an online platform for posting and browsing classified advertisements and a Web property of Barefoot Logic, LLC. By accessing or using this Website, you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to post or respond to ads.
  • By using the Website, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.

2. Use of the Website

  • You agree to use the Website solely for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • You agree not to post:

4. Listings & Transactions

  • The Website is a platform only and does not act as a broker, agent, or guarantor of any transaction.
  • All transactions are solely between buyers and sellers.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or legality of any listing or user conduct.
  • Users are responsible for exercising caution and conducting due diligence before engaging in any transaction.

5. Firearms Policy

  • Firearms, ammunition, and related items may be listed on this Website only where lawful under federal, North Carolina, and applicable local laws.
  • Users posting firearm-related ads must:
    • Comply with all federal laws, including the Gun Control Act of 1968 and ATF regulations.
    • Comply with all North Carolina firearm laws, including licensing, transfer, and recordkeeping requirements.
    • Complete firearm transfers through a federally licensed firearms dealer (FFL) where required.
    • Not post ads for restricted, prohibited, or illegal firearms or accessories, including but not limited to:
      • Fully automatic weapons (unless properly licensed).
      • Unregistered short-barreled rifles or shotguns.
      • Homemade or “ghost” guns that are not legally compliant.
      • Firearms offered to or by prohibited persons under 18 U.S.C. § 922.
  • Users are solely responsible for verifying the legal eligibility of buyers and sellers.
  • The Website does not conduct background checks, does not broker sales, and does not mediate disputes related to firearm transactions.
  • Any firearm-related ad that violates these rules may be removed without notice, and repeat violations may result in account suspension or referral to law enforcement.

6. Fees & Payments

  • Posting ads may be free or subject to fees, depending on category and listing type.
  • All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing and payment terms at any time.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use automated systems, bots, spiders, or scrapers to collect, harvest, or access Website data without written permission.
  • Manually copy, aggregate, or reproduce ads or listings for commercial or competitive purposes.
  • Interfere with the security or functionality of the Website.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to user accounts or Website systems.

Note: Unauthorized scraping (automated or manual) of Website content is strictly prohibited. Such activity may violate North Carolina computer crime statutes (N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14-453 et seq.), trespass to chattels, and intellectual property laws. We reserve the right to pursue civil, criminal, and injunctive remedies against violators.

The following items and services may not be listed, offered, or promoted on MaylandMarketplace.com, whether by individuals or businesses. Any violation may result in immediate removal of the listing, account suspension, or referral to law enforcement.

1. Illegal or Restricted Goods

  • Animals, except farm livestock.
  • Controlled substances, narcotics, or drug paraphernalia.
  • Prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications requiring a license, or medical devices not approved for general sale.
  • Alcohol, tobacco, vaping products, or related items where restricted by law.
  • Stolen goods or items without proof of ownership.
  • Counterfeit, pirated, or infringing goods (including software, movies, music, designer products).

2. Weapons and Explosives

  • Firearms prohibited by law, including fully automatic weapons, unregistered short-barreled rifles/shotguns, and untraceable “ghost guns.”
  • Homemade or 3D-printed firearms or components not in compliance with law.
  • Explosives, fireworks (where restricted), or hazardous materials.
  • Military-grade equipment not legally available to civilians.

3. Adult or Inappropriate Content

  • Pornography, obscene materials, or sexually explicit services.
  • Adult escort, sexual companionship, or prostitution services.
  • Services involving exploitation, violence, or abuse.

4. Financial and Legal Items

  • Credit cards, bank accounts, or financial instruments.
  • Stolen identities, personal data, or “hacking” services.
  • Multi-level marketing (MLM) schemes or pyramid schemes.
  • Forged documents, IDs, or licenses.

5. Animals and Wildlife

  • Endangered species, protected wildlife, or parts derived from them.
  • Pets or livestock where prohibited by law (some areas require licenses or special conditions).
  • Services promoting animal cruelty or illegal hunting/trapping.

6. Employment and Services

  • Jobs requiring upfront payment from applicants.

Enforcement

  • Remove any listing that violates this Appendix or our Terms.
  • Suspend or terminate accounts posting prohibited items.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement regarding unlawful listings or suspicious activities.
